As a kid, Justin was active in Boy Scouts, where he developed a lasting commitment to serving others. Justin met his wife, Megan, a native of Las Vegas, in college. While courting Megan, Justin moved to Las Vegas and worked construction in the Vegas summer heat to save up for an engagement ring. The two married in 1996 and recently celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary. After Justin graduated from law school at George Washington University, he and Megan moved back to Las Vegas to lay down roots. Justin and Megan are the proud parents of two amazing children, Gabby and Liam.
Over the past 20-plus years, Justin has been active in the community while also practicing law. Justin has volunteered to provide free legal representation for children in foster care and represented non-profits pro bono in legal matters. Justin has served on several community boards, including the United Way of Southern Nevada, Volunteer Center of Southern Nevada (past Chair), Nevadans for Background Checks, Battle Born Progress (past President), and Emerge Nevada.
Continuing his service to the community, Justin was elected to the Nevada State Senate in 2012 where he served in leadership positions, including Assistant Majority Whip and Chair of the Health and Human Services Committee. While in the State Senate, Justin championed legislation to protect homeowners facing foreclosure, make schools more energy efficient, and require background checks for gun purchases.
In 2018, Justin was elected to the Clark County Commission representing District F, which spans from Chinatown to Mountain’s Edge, and from Red Rock Canyon to Sandy Valley. Justin was recently selected by his colleagues to serve as Vice Chair of the County Commission. In addition, Justin serves as Vice Chair of the Regional Transportation Commission, Chair of the Springs Preserves Board of Trustees and as a member of the boards of the Southern Nevada Water Authority and the Las Vegas Global Economic Alliance.
